45th Adventsmarkt 2025

The 45th Adventsmarkt at the Kreismuseum Zons took place in 2025 on the 3rd Advent weekend. As every year, over 100 craft-oriented exhibitors were present in the museum rooms of Friedestrom Castle and its courtyard. The medieval ambiance created a unique atmosphere that commercial mass Christmas markets cannot achieve.

The range of goods was diverse: handcrafted nativity scenes and Christmas tree decorations, tin figures, handmade pralines, marzipan, regional honey, jams, and liqueurs. The museum team provided catering with Reibekuchen, Bratwurst, Schmalz-Brot, roasted apples, and mulled wine. A craft activity invited children to participate — and the supporting program with music (brass band, small choirs) and readings rounded off the day. With its 45th edition, the Adventsmarkt confirmed its position as one of the oldest and most atmospheric Christmas market destinations on the Lower Rhine.
