Overview

The 2025 edition of the Acherner Street Food Festival took place in early May on Rathausplatz, confirming the concept of international food trucks and free admission. The association Achern aktiv e.V. once again invited between 18 and 22 mobile catering providers, who enlivened Achern's market square throughout the weekend. Another success in the southern Baden event calendar, attracting visitors from the entire Ortenau district and the adjacent Northern Black Forest region.

2025 — Proven Format

Last year too, the mix of first-class international street food offerings and a relaxed atmosphere on Rathausplatz proved successful. Families from Achern, Sasbach, Bühl, and Offenburg took advantage of the extended weekend around Mother's Day to try specialties from Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean in an informal setting.

In 2025, Achern aktiv e.V. placed particular emphasis on vegetarian and vegan options, as well as dessert food trucks (crêpes, churros, cheesecakes), which appealed to the family audience on Sunday afternoon. The response was so positive that the repeat event in 2026 was confirmed for the May slot.
