Abenheim as a Wine Village

Worms-Abenheim is one of the western districts of Worms and belongs to northeastern Rheinhessen. The vineyard sites on the edge of the Rhenish-Hessian hill country offer good conditions for classic Rhenish-Hessian grape varieties — above all Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and Weißburgunder. Several established vintners shape the village's character and host their own estate festivals and wine parties throughout the year.

The Abenheimer Weintage

With the "Abenheimer Weintage" (Abenheim Wine Days), the Abenheim vintners' community has established a format that captures the annual rhythm of wine culture — from spring to autumn — in two major festivals: the Weißweinparty (white wine party) in late spring and the Rotweinparty (red wine party) in autumn. Both take place at Weingut Klosterhof Lösch, bringing together vintners, wine, and the public for a concentrated weekend.

Weingut Klosterhof Lösch

Weingut Klosterhof Lösch is located at Kirschgartenstraße 4–6 in Worms-Abenheim. The name refers to the historic monastic origin of the estate; the Lösch family now runs the business with a focus on Rhenish-Hessian wines, herb cultivation, and an active event calendar that extends beyond mere wine tasting.

Atmosphere of the Weißweinparty

The Weißweinparty embodies a relaxed and festive atmosphere: long tables, wine glasses in hand, Rhenish-Hessian snacks (Brotzeit), conversations between vintners and guests. It is less a large-scale event and more a sophisticated village festival that fully embraces the strengths of early summer — fresh wines, light food, mild evening light.
