The 2025 evening market season in Recklinghausen featured five dates on Kirchplatz. International street food, live DJ, and crowded squares characterized the format – the high attendance inspired the idea for the quieter concept in 2026.
In 2025, the evening market reached a peak in visitor numbers, which sometimes led to frustrating wait times. Organizer Cono Cinquemani responded with the new concept for 2026: a quieter atmosphere and less visitor pressure.
