Aachen — City of Short Distances
Aachen is the westernmost major city in Germany, an independent city in the administrative district of Cologne, and located in the tri-border area of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The compact city center around the Cathedral, Town Hall, and Elisenbrunnen is ideal for cycling — the mobility day shows how a bicycle-friendly city center can function. Partners include the AVV (Aachen Transport Association) and the aachen50plus initiative.
