"950 Years Ahorn" is a unique jubilee celebrating the municipality's 950th anniversary. A standalone jubilee festival of this magnitude did not yet take place in 2025; preparations and initial events around the Alte Schäferei were held in the run-up, setting the stage for the grand festival year 2026.

The "950 Years Ahorn" jubilee is a unique event celebrating the municipality's milestone birthday in the Coburg district. A full jubilee program on the scale of the festival year was planned for 2026. In the run-up, the municipality held events around the Alte Schäferei – traditionally the venue for the Ahorn Midsummer Night with music and culinary stands – to prepare for the jubilee. The close collaboration between the municipality of Ahorn, Oberfranken Offensiv, and Coburg University of Applied Sciences laid the foundation for the "Ahorn Leuchtet" light installation, which was to be a feature of the 2026 festival year.
