Already in 2025, the anniversary year was in preparation: The Neubrandenburg Philharmonic was preparing its 75th season 2025/2026 and laid the artistic foundation for the 2026 festive concert with concert series such as the Philharmonic Concerts, special concerts, and Mahler preparations.
In the run-up to the double anniversary, the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic completed its regular concert season in 2025 at the Konzertkirche Neubrandenburg and as a touring orchestra in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The New Year's Eve concert in 2025, under GMD Daniel Geiss, already featured a grand choral symphony — Beethoven's Ninth — thus programmatically leading the ensembles towards the Mahler performance in 2026.
