In 2025, the market town of Regenstauf entered its preparatory year for the major 2026 anniversary. Various working groups from the market municipality, local history society, and local cultural creators prepared the program for the 700th market rights anniversary — including the Wandeltheater format by teatro blanco, which was specially conceived for the anniversary.
The Wandeltheater for the 700th anniversary will debut in 2026 — no separate production took place in 2025. The Regenstauf town anniversary commission coordinated with the theater group, town archive, and tourism initiative throughout the year. In parallel, research into the town's history began, the results of which were incorporated into the play.
The Regenstauf event calendar for 2025, as usual, featured recurring markets and festivals — Maypole raising, parish festival, Kirchweih (church consecration festival), and Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market) — none of which were directly linked to the anniversary.
