150th Anniversary Celebration Fire Department Sersheim 2026

Before the Anniversary Celebration

The grand anniversary celebration of the Sersheim Fire Department did not take place in 2025. In the run-up, the department prepared for its 150th anniversary in 2026, organized the festival committees, and conceptualized the program with the municipality of Sersheim and surrounding departments.

Operationally, the fire department responded to 44 calls in 2025 — an average number of incidents for a rural department. The average response time was 4.65 minutes — a very good rate. 59% of the calls occurred at night. The focus of the 55 drills in 2025 was on combating vegetation fires, a specialized competence shared across five surrounding municipalities.
