Overview

In 2025, the FFW Elpersdorf was fully focused on preparing for the 150th founding festival in 2026. Throughout the year, the brigade carried out its usual activities – training exercises, operations, club meetings, and appearances at parades of other fire brigades in the Ansbach district. The 150th anniversary in 2026 was prepared in terms of planning and organization, including the search for banner carriers, sponsors, and guest speakers.

Preparation Year 2025

In 2025, the FFW Elpersdorf intensively prepared for its 150th anniversary. Club life, training and operational duties, as well as appearances at parades of friendly fire brigades in the greater Ansbach area (including at the festivals of other 150-year-old fire brigades like Petersaurach in May 2025) filled the year.

Preparation for 2026

In the run-up to the 150th anniversary, the festival committee and club leadership coordinated program planning, permits, volunteer scheduling, and parade logistics. Appeals were made to the village community, schools, and friendly fire brigades starting in late autumn 2025, supplemented by the search for banner carriers from the younger generation.
