Edition 2025 — 150 Years FFW Wiesent
2025 was the preparation year for the 150th anniversary of the FFW Wiesent in 2026. The festival committee planned the parade, acquired patron associations, organized festival maids, booked the band Vorwaidler, and coordinated the program with the Regensburg District Fire Brigade Association. There was no regular festival of this kind in 2025 – the 150th birthday will be celebrated in 2026.
Preparation 2025
The FFW Wiesent used the year 2025 for intensive preparation of the 2026 anniversary festival. The focus was on acquiring the over 55 participating associations, selecting the festival maids, booking the band Vorwaidler, planning the parade, and the setup plan for the festival tent. A festival maids' Instagram account (@festdamen.ff.wiesent) documented the preparations.
Anchored in Upper Palatinate
Since 1876, the brigade has been an integral part of life in Wiesent and the Regensburg district. The 2026 anniversary festival will put tradition at the heart of the village community for four days.
