In the previous year, 2025, the Pressig fire brigade was already a significant focus of events in the municipality of Pressig: the patron brigade from the district of Posseck celebrated its own 150th founding anniversary on July 12 and 13, 2025. Thus, the entire municipality of Pressig was in a phase of celebration in the summer of 2025, which will continue with the 150th anniversary of the main brigade in 2026.

2025 was a special year for the fire brigades in the municipality of Pressig: the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Posseck, a district brigade of Pressig, celebrated its 150th anniversary on the weekend of July 12–13, 2025, with an official ceremony (Festkommers), a morning pint (Frühschoppen), and a parade. The main brigade of the FFW Pressig participated as a patron brigade in this celebration.

The activities in 2025 were thus a kind of dress rehearsal and a prelude to Pressig's own main anniversary in the summer of 2026 — many patron brigades from the region that came to the Posseck festival in 2025 are also expected at the main Pressig festival in 2026.
