Edition 2025 — 150 Years FFW Weimersheim
In 2025, FFW Weimersheim was entirely focused on preparing for the 150th anniversary. Behind the scenes, preparations for the five-day festival program in 2026 were underway: festival committee, sponsorship, festival tent construction planning, program design with band contracts, and coordination with the WUG District Fire Department for the District Fire Brigade Day. The regular service operations of the brigade also continued with drills, deployments, and the care of the youth fire brigade.
Preparation for the Anniversary
In the year preceding the major anniversary, FFW Weimersheim focused on organizational preparations. Festival tent booking, permits, band contracts, sponsorship, and marketing were developed over months. In parallel, the volunteer service operations of the brigade continued unabated.
Embedded in the Vereinsleben of Weimersheim
Like many active districts of Weißenburg in Bavaria, Weimersheim has a dense Vereinsleben (club life), supported among others by the FFW. The upcoming 2026 anniversary was the defining theme in the town in 2025.
