Edition 2025 — 150 Years of Brass Music Dorfprozelten
In 2025, the Music Association Frankonia Dorfprozelten prepared intensively for the grand anniversary weekend in 2026. Open-air concerts on the village square, appearances at regional festivals, and participation in district events characterized the association's year — thus making the history of Dorfprozelten's brass music visible.
Even though the major anniversary will only be celebrated in 2026 with its own festival weekend, brass music in Dorfprozelten was very present in 2025: The Music Association Frankonia performed at several festivals in the Spessart and Untermain regions, including at the anniversaries of friendly associations in the Miltenberg district.
The history of the association – first documented brass music in the town in 1876, founding of the current Music Association in 1951 – was processed in the local press, including in the 'Main-Echo', in the run-up to the anniversary and made visible to a broad public. Thus, 2025 provided the historical foundation for the 2026 anniversary festival.
