Overview

In the 2025 club year, intensive preparations for the 130th-anniversary festival in 2026 took place. The festival committee of FFW Zangenstein worked on the program, partnerships, band selection, and logistics. In addition, the brigade held its regular events such as the traditional Midsummer bonfire and its training exercises in the Schwandorf district.

Preparation Year 2025

In 2025, the Zangenstein Volunteer Fire Brigade was entirely focused on preparing for the grand 130th-anniversary festival in May 2026. A festival committee worked intensively on program planning, partnership negotiations with the sister brigades from Dürnersdorf, Schwarzhofen, and Altendorf, selection of festival bands, and logistics for the four-day marquee operation.

In parallel, the brigade organized its regular events in the Upper Palatinate club year: the traditional Midsummer bonfire in June, club evenings, and training sessions. With the start of the anniversary year 2026, FFW Zangenstein was well-prepared for the four-day festival program from May 14th to 17th, 2026.
