Edition 2025 — 1250 Years of Scheinfeld
In 2025, Scheinfeld kicked off the 2026 anniversary year with an extensive cultural start. Clubs, schools, and the city administration jointly promoted the big festival weekend and collected historical photos and anecdotes from the town's 1250-year history. The Steigerwald Nature Park and the Schwarzenberg Castle Foundation supported the preliminary program.
In the preparatory year 2025, clubs, restaurateurs, and citizens met in several preparation meetings at the town hall to plan the anniversary year. The city administration called on its Facebook page for submissions of old Scheinfeld photos – material that was processed in exhibitions and in a commemorative publication in the 2026 anniversary year.
The official festival week in 2026 was intended to be the result of this preparatory work: a three-day weekend with a medieval market, an open-air concert, and a historical ceremony. 2025 thus marks the start of a multi-year anniversary phase, which will continue with the preparation of the "600 Years of City Elevation" in the following years.
