2025 was the preparation year for SG Gundelsheim Football for its 100th anniversary celebration in 2026. The club competed in its regular league season but did not organize its own major event to consolidate resources and efforts for the four-day anniversary festival in June 2026.

The 100th-anniversary festival is a unique event in 2026 (club founded in 1926). 2025 thus served as a preparation year for the grand anniversary festival in Gundelsheim. SG Gundelsheim Football continued its regular league play (Württemberg Football Association), organized training camps and youth activities, but did not host its own major event. Preparations for the four-day anniversary programme in 2026 — official ceremony, anniversary matches, youth tournament, club evening, family day — were already underway since early 2025 under the leadership of the club board. Friendly clubs from the Heilbronn region and former players were invited to participate in the 2026 festival programme.
