City Experience on the First Friday of the Month

The 1. Freitag Goslar initiative combines city center revitalization, retail promotions, and themed presentations into a clear format: on a fixed day each month, shops open longer, the city center gets its own theme, and gastronomy and retail utilize their outdoor spaces with corresponding activities.

24 Partners and a Shared Idea

Behind the series are 24 partners from retail and gastronomy who, together with Goslar Marketing GmbH, define the themes and supporting program. This gives the series a deliberately local identity and distinguishes it from external event formats. The joint appearance includes posters, shop window promotions, themed decorations in the stores, and coordinated communication on social media.

Five Dates, Five Themes

The 2026 season includes five dates: May 8th with the theme Football World Cup, June 5th with Beach Party, July 3rd with Pit Stop, August 7th with La Dolce Vita, and September 4th with Wiesn-Gaudi. Each date consciously embraces its theme: from public viewing to tropical beach sounds, Italian cuisine, and Oktoberfest atmosphere, the city is transformed into its own world for an evening.

Free Bus Shuttle Service

To ensure that residents from surrounding areas can also come to the city center without a car, the city organizes a free bus shuttle service from 3 PM. This makes the series an inclusive format that is not just for city center residents.

Format with Growth Potential

With its variety of themes and clear repeating structure, the 1. Freitag Goslar series has established itself as a reliable event within a few years. The organizer plans to continue it in the coming years and is gradually expanding the format with new thematic elements.
