Edition 2025 — Glasweihnacht Zwiesel
With the renaming of the Christmas market to Zwieseler Glasweihnacht and its relocation to the Glass Pyramid, the city of Zwiesel has established a new Advent concept. Already in 2025, the market with its glassblowing demonstrations and unusual backdrop attracted visitors from all over the Bavarian Forest.
The 2025 Glasweihnacht confirmed the successful re-conceptualization of the Zwiesel Christmas market. Instead of the historic city center, where the Christmas market traditionally took place, the Glasweihnacht is now located at the Glass Pyramid on the Zwiesel Fortessa site – a backdrop that visibly places the city's glass theme at the center.
Reviews from previous years praise the clear thematic focus, the glassblowing demonstrations, and the atmosphere around the iconic Glass Pyramid. The city of Zwiesel thus positions its Christmas market as a unique experience among Bavarian Advent markets – not a standard mulled wine market, but a market with a clear identity.
