Overview
During the two-year project «Theaterakademie Charkiv @ HfS Ernst Busch», several public interim presentations by the Kharkiv graduates took place at the university in Zinnowitzer Straße in 2025. These performances served as a trial run for the major concluding festival in 2026.
The collaboration between the Ernst Busch University of Performing Arts and Kharkiv theatre makers began in 2024 and developed in 2025 into a format with regular public showings in the UNTEN studio. These smaller presentations were important for familiarizing the audience, diaspora communities, and colleagues from the Berlin theatre scene with the work of the Kharkiv artists — and for paving the way for the concluding festival in 2026.
