In 2025, the Wuppertaler Volkslauf continued its tradition dating back to 1969. The 57th edition around the Ronsdorfer Talsperre was organized, as in previous years, by SV Bayer Wuppertal e.V. The range of distances, from the Bambini run to the main distance, attracted runners of all age groups.

The club's philosophy remains centered on the motto "Movement keeps you fit, both physically and mentally" – the run is explicitly not intended as a pure competition, but as a mass sports event for the entire Bergisches Land region.
