Overview

The Wunsiedel Brunnenfest 2025 took place on June 21 and 22 – the weekend before St. John's Day. As every year, the 35 fountain communities decorated the city's fountains with flowers, wreaths, and garlands; at dusk, they were illuminated, and singers and musicians moved with serenades from fountain to fountain. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

At the Wunsiedel Brunnenfest 2025 (June 21–22), the centuries-old tradition came alive again: the 35 fountain communities collectively picked flowers, tied wreaths, and decorated the town's over 35 fountains on the festival morning.

With the onset of dusk, the fountains were illuminated with candles and lights; singers and musicians moved from fountain to fountain, performing serenades. The quiet, contemplative festival once again transformed Wunsiedel into a midsummer night's dream of light and soft music – in keeping with its status as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
