About Wolfsburg Run
The Wolfsburg Run — WOB Run for short — will celebrate its second edition on April 19, 2026. Organized by the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg e.V., the city run is closely integrated with its iconic landmarks: the start and route wind along Allersee lake, Wolfsburg Castle, and Autostadt, with the finish line located in the Volkswagen Arena.
Four distances are offered: Half Marathon (start 9 AM), 10 km (10 AM), 5 km (12 PM), and a 1 km Kids' Run (11:30 AM and 11:35 AM). Bib pickup will take place the evening before, Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the B'boovd Sportsbar (Allerpark 7).

A Young City Run with a Grand Stage
The first Wolfsburg Run took place in 2025 and immediately established itself as an attractive early-spring race in Lower Saxony. The event is backed by VfL Wolfsburg, which also organizes other running events through its VfL-Run section. The close connection to the professional football club provides a unique emotional anchor and guarantees spectacular finish-line photos under the stands of the Bundesliga arena.
Route Through Wolfsburg
The course leads runners through Wolfsburg's most distinctive urban spaces: around Allersee lake, past Wolfsburg Castle, through the Autostadt surroundings, and finally into the Volkswagen Arena — the home stadium of VfL Wolfsburg. The finish inside the stadium is one of the event's most defining spectacles.
Four Distances for Every Level
- Half Marathon (21.0975 km) — Start 9 AM.
- 10 km — Start 10 AM.
- 1 km Kids' Run — Starts 11:30 AM and 11:35 AM.
- 5 km Fun Run — Start 12 PM.
Organization and Atmosphere
Bib pickup is on the day before at the B'boovd Sportsbar in Allerpark. At the finish area, participants will find refreshments, a relaxation zone, and photo opportunities. Training and warm-up sessions will be communicated via the website. The event is suitable for both ambitious amateur athletes and families or walking groups.
Wolfsburg Run — edition 2026
The second edition of the Wolfsburg Run will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The event offers a half marathon, 10 km, kids' run, and 5 km. The route leads around Allersee lake, past Wolfsburg Castle and Autostadt, to the finish line in the Volkswagen Arena.
Bib pickup opens on Friday evening, April 17, 2026, at the B'boovd Sportsbar in Allerpark. Registration is available via raceresult and the official VfL-Run website.
Schedule of Events
Race day kicks off at 9 AM with the half marathon. One hour later, the 10 km runners start, followed by the kids' run around midday and the 5 km race at 12 PM. All distances conclude with a spectacular finish in the Volkswagen Arena.
Accompanying Program
In the finish area, finishers can expect refreshments, a relaxation zone, photo opportunities, and live music. VfL Wolfsburg is integrating the event into its '80 Years of VfL' anniversary program.
