Edition 2025 — Wolfacher Fasnet
The Wolfacher Fasnet 2025 took place in early March — as every year with the famous Wohlauf jesters' awakening on Schellenmontag at 5:30 AM and the historic Nasenzug of Wolfach men on Fastnachtsdienstag at 5:00 PM. The organizer was the Freie Narrenzunft Wolfach 1937 e.V. with the town's guilds and associations.
Wolfacher Fasnet 2025 — Review
In 2025, the Wolfacher Fasnet once again attracted thousands of visitors from the Black Forest, the Kinzigtal valley, Ortenau, and Alsace to the small Black Forest town. The Wohlauf on Schellenmontag started punctually at 5:30 AM, with the Wohlauf-Man parading through the town on his rolling bed, accompanied by hundreds of carnival-goers in white nightgowns.
On Fastnachtsdienstag evening, the men of Wolfach marched through the alleys in reversed jackets and with wood-shaving beards in a goose-step — one of the most idiosyncratic carnival traditions in the region. The twelve parades of carnival week once again shaped the Wolfach tradition, embedded in the carnival schedule of the Freie Narrenzunft Wolfach 1937 e.V.
