Review 2025 — 57th Edition

The 57th edition of the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik 2025 continued the decades-long tradition of Germany's most renowned platform for contemporary chamber music. As usual, the festival presented a dense program with premieres, German premieres, and Discussion Concerts over three days at the end of April in the Saalbau Witten and other venues in the city.

The ensembles and soloists, as always, belonged to the world's elite in contemporary music, the program was internationally oriented, and the quality of the commissioned compositions was high. The cooperation with WDR ensured media reach and makes the Wittener Tage one of the most important contributions of public broadcasting to the cultivation of new music in Germany.
