The Wippertusfest 2025 took place from May 29 (Ascension Day) to June 2 (Whit Monday). Five-day city festival in Kölleda with stage music, historical market, Timbersports show, carriage rides through the Pfefferminzregion, and appearances by the Peppermint Princess.

Wippertusfest 2025 — Tradition between Ascension Day and Pentecost

As every year, Kölleda celebrated its largest city festival in honour of patron saint Wippertus from May 29 to June 2, 2025. The festival programme followed the established structure: opening on Thursday with the Peppermint Princess, stage music over five days, Timbersports show on Saturday, flea market on Sunday, and a wind-down on Whit Monday.

The organisers were, as always, the City of Kölleda and the Handwerker- und Gewerbeverein 1990 Kölleda e.V. The peppermint identity of the region — Kölleda is located in the historical cultivation area of Thuringian peppermint — was palpable during the carriage rides and the official appearance of the Peppermint Princess.
