Edition 2025 — Wintersterne
Premiere of the Wintersterne Saxon Switzerland cultural festival in early February 2025 with events at various venues in the region. The first edition featured, among others, Hofnächte (Courtyard Nights), Musical, and the family format «Märchenfunkeln» (Fairy Tale Sparkle), laying the foundation for the new festival format.
2025 Premiere Edition
The first Wintersterne edition in 2025 was a test to see if a cultural festival in the winter months of January/February in Saxon Switzerland would work — and it was a success. Event formats like «Hofnacht», «Musical», and «Märchenfunkeln» (for families) proved their worth, the unusual venues (castles, mine, thermal spa) were well-received, leading the Saxon Switzerland Tourism Association to continue and expand the festival in 2026.
