Edition 2025 — WinterKlassik
The 2nd WinterKlassik from January 26 to 28, 2025, was themed «Sound Paths of the Via Regia». Three evening concerts took the audience on a musical-poetic journey along the historic trade route between Paris and Kyiv — with international soloists and Sorbian artists.
The 2nd edition of WinterKlassik built upon the geographical and cultural identity of Bautzen: the Via Regia, the medieval trade route from Paris to Kyiv, passed directly through Upper Lusatia. The festival used this connection as an occasion to develop a program that brought together repertoires from Western, Central, and Eastern Europe.
The three evening concerts were thematically titled «Voices of the Past», «Paths of Encounter», and «Visions of the Future». They combined chamber music masterpieces with a lively dialogue between international soloists and Sorbian artists such as Lukas Zschorlich and Hanka Rjelka.
