Overview
From July 11 to 13, 2025, the Viking Festival once again attracted thousands of visitors to Eckernförde beach. Three days of Viking village with warrior camp, merchant mile, show fights, and an expanded catering area on the beach. As in previous years, the organizer was Tourismus, Marketing und Wirtschaft Eckernförde GmbH.
The 2025 edition followed the proven format: warrior camp and merchant mile at the Baltic Sea Info Centre, show fights on the Viking stage several times a day, and hands-on workshops for the whole family. New this year was an expanded catering area with seating on the beach and a wider selection of Viking-inspired drinks.
With three days of programming, free admission, and its unique location directly on the sandy beach, the Viking Festival is one of the largest events in Eckernförde's summer calendar.
