The 23rd Westviertel District Festival 2025 took place, as every year in April, at the Westsportplatz — Maypole raising, craft street for children, sports competitions, and a packed weekend program brought together the residents of the Westviertel and the surrounding city district. 23rd Westfest 2025 in Jena

The 23rd edition of the Westfest in Jena's Westviertel in 2025 followed the proven program: Raising of the first Jena Maypoles on Saturday — a small one decorated by children, a large one through the collaboration of the city administration, forestry office, volunteer fire department, and florists. Beach volleyball, XXL football darts, and ladder golf were part of the sports program; Sunday was dedicated to a hobby football tournament and further beach activities. A craft street, bouncy castles, trampoline, and cargo slide entertained the young guests — the district festival was once again a central season-opening event in the Westviertel in 2025.
