Westerrönfelder Summer Festival for Young and Old
2025
Edition 2025 — Finished
Edition 2025 — Sommerfest Westerrönfeld
Summer Festival 2025
The 2025 Summer Festival followed the established format. The Westerrönfeld community and the Alfred-Roth Foundation welcomed residents, families, and guests to the foundation's festival grounds at Grüner Steg. The parade of the Rendsburg Music Corps opened the festival shortly before 2 p.m., followed by welcome speeches from the Foundation President and the Mayor.
Program and Atmosphere
Throughout the afternoon, the festival offered a diverse program: stalls from local sports, fire brigade, and traditional costume clubs, a rich snack and cake stand from the foundation, games for children, body painting and tattoos, a well-stocked tombola, and the obligatory wheel of fortune. The musical highlight was provided around 5:15 p.m. by 'Die Swinging Chordettes' with their 90-minute program of 1950s and 1960s doo-wop, swing, and rock 'n' roll. The evening traditionally concluded with a cozy get-together.
