Edition 2025 — Marathon Essen

The 63rd edition of the Essen Marathon in 2025 took place as usual in October around Baldeneysee. TUSEM Essen organized the full range of distances from Mini-Marathon to Full Marathon, including the AllbauTeamStaffel. Main sponsor Westenergie underscored the regional connection. After 62 years of tradition, the run remains a reference point for popular runners in the Ruhr area.

The Essen Marathon 2025 entered its 63rd edition — a number that makes the event living sports history. On the flat asphalt course at Baldeneysee, marathoners, half-marathoners, and walkers completed their distances in mild autumn weather. Unlike the major city marathons, there is no time limit at the finish in Essen — the tradition of an inclusive popular running atmosphere is consistently maintained. The AllbauTeamStaffel once again attracted hundreds of corporate and club teams, and the Mini-Marathon welcomed the younger generation.
