Edition 2025 — Castle Festival Wernigerode
The 29th Wernigerode Castle Festival 2025 took place in August 2025 under the direction of GMD Christian Fitzner. The popular promenade concerts, opera galas, and film music evenings filled the castle and the Liebfrauen Concert Hall.
The 29th edition of the Wernigerode Castle Festival in 2025 confirmed its reputation as a major summer classical festival in Saxony-Anhalt. The Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, under GMD Christian Fitzner, once again filled the castle, the Liebfrauen Concert Hall, and the Bürgerpark with a dense August program of symphonic music, opera, chamber music, and promenade concerts.
