Overview
As every year, Berthold-Günther-Platz in Wellesweiler transformed into a Metal hotspot on this August weekend. The 9th WW:O:A confirmed its course: a small but excellent event, supported by volunteers, with a program that connects Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate bands with acts from the wider German-speaking area.
The festival remained true to its DNA: affordable prices, honest music, personal atmosphere. It is precisely this consistency that has firmly established the Wellesweiler Open Air in the Saarland Metal scene over the years.
Programme
The 2025 lineup, as usual, included a mix of Saarland bands, acts from the Rhineland-Palatinate region, and supra-regional guests from the German-speaking Metal and Rock scene. For years, the organizers have focused on a mix of classic Heavy Metal, Thrash, Death, and hard Rock subgenres.
