Overview

The 5th edition of the Weißensee Summer of Culture in 2025 again took place over nearly three months in the Weißensee district of Berlin. Around 60 local actors presented concerts, readings, guided tours, films, and district events on stages, in the library, at Kino Toni, and at the Weißensee open-air stage. The patron was the Pankow District Mayor Dr. Cordelia Koch.

5th Edition — Established District Format

The 5th edition of the Weißensee Summer of Culture in 2025 confirmed its community-driven format. Over nearly three months, a dense program of concerts, readings, guided tours, films, workshops, and district festivals was spread across the central venues of the district.

Program Strands

As in 2026, the events were divided into four thematic strands: History, Culture, Encounters, and Environment. The event concluded with the Neighborhood Festival at the end of September on the Weißensee open-air stage with music, street food, and district initiatives.
