Overview

The wine festival of the Parsberg Volunteer Fire Brigade took place in mid-September in the historic courtyard of Parsberg Castle. Wine service by the fire brigade comrades, regional dishes, and a cozy courtyard atmosphere attracted regular guests from Parsberg, Velburg, Hohenfels, and the surrounding villages of the Upper Palatinate. The proceeds were fully used for the club's work and equipment.

In 2025, the wine festival once again relied on the proven concept: no loud marquee operation, but a atmospheric wine experience in the medieval castle courtyard. The comrades of the Parsberg Volunteer Fire Brigade handled setup and dismantling, catering, and service themselves.

The concept of a wine festival supported by volunteers against a historic backdrop has established itself as an alternative to the classic folk festivals of the Upper Palatinate. Guests particularly appreciate the mix of castle walls, late summer evening, and Franconian wine varieties — a piece of Palatinate summer atmosphere in the Upper Palatinate Jura.
