Advent Atmosphere in the City of Classics 2025

The Weimarer Weihnacht 2025 also attracted visitors with its characteristic row of stalls between Theaterplatz and Herderplatz. In front of Goethe's former residence, there were arts and crafts stalls and mulled wine stands, the Market Square with the large Christmas tree served as a stage for daily performances by choirs and brass bands, and the Town Hall once again functioned as a large advent calendar.

In the Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul (Herderkirche) and the Deutsches Nationaltheater, classical Christmas and Advent concerts took place. Families were drawn to the Märchenhütte with its daily programme. The ice rink on Theaterplatz, right at the foot of the Goethe-Schiller Monument, was a photo magnet as always.
