The Weimar Rendezvous with History 2025 once again focused on a current historical theme in the city of classics. Panel discussions, lectures, city tours, films, and the pub quiz shaped the three-day festival at the festival center mon ami and other locations in Weimar. History scholars, journalists, and citizens met for one of Central Germany's most important discourse formats.
Weimar Rendezvous 2025
The 2025 edition continued the proven format: an annual main theme, international speakers, city tours, film screenings, and the pub quiz, which also opens the festival to a non-academic audience. The association Weimarer Rendez-vous mit der Geschichte e. V. organized the weekend together with the City of Weimar and funding partners from federal and state levels. The response from academia and the public once again confirmed the need for serious historical discourse.
