The 2025 Bergen Christmas market once again brought the typical Advent mix to the district town on the 2nd weekend of Advent: the town market on the market square, the church market in the cloister courtyard, a stage programme of regional brass and choir groups, and an authentically quiet island audience. Local reports described the atmosphere again as "magical at Christmas time in the cloister courtyard" – an adjective that well summarises the character of the market.

The format with a double market (town + church) has established itself over the years as a proven constellation. For 2026, the concept will be continued on the 2nd weekend of Advent.
