Overview
The 2025 premiere edition was sold out and gathered thousands of medieval rock fans on Peißnitzinsel. In Extremo as headliner and a high-caliber supporting program immediately made the festival a must-attend event in the genre.
The first Weckt die Toten Festival on September 6, 2025, was a spectacular debut: sold out, curated by In Extremo, with a dense stage program and an atmosphere that thrilled even seasoned festival veterans. Halle (Saale) proved to be a stroke of luck as a location — the Peißnitzinsel offered the perfect backdrop for medieval rock and folk metal.
