Overview

Wapelbeats Open Air Gütersloh 2025 once again brought three open-air day festivals to the disused Wapelbad. With around 3,500 visitors each, the format confirmed its position as "Ostwestfalen's largest electronic day festival". The voluntary organisation of Wapelbeats e.V. again operated on a pre-financing basis with surpluses for charitable purposes.

The 2025 Wapelbeats season once again met high expectations: three open-air editions at the Wapelbad, each with about 3,500 visitors, international DJ and live programme, a sand-covered dance floor directly by the Wapelbach. The voluntary organisation of Wapelbeats e.V. demonstrated how electronic festivals can function beyond commercial organisers — and the surpluses, as planned, were channelled to charitable organisations and for the maintenance of the venue. Immediately after the 2025 closing, the 2026 dates (May 1st, July 4th, Sept 19th) were announced.
