Overview
The premiere of "Walpurga – The Musical" in 2025 became one of the most successful open-air musical launches in Saxony-Anhalt. The production received the German Musical Theatre Award and the Saxony-Anhalt Tourism Award 2025 in the Innovation category.
The premiere season drew audiences from all over Germany to Thale. The concept — an open-air musical on the Hexentanzplatz, performed in the natural mountain theatre, with a prominent cast and a story that connects the myth of the Walpurgis Night with the history of witch hunts — impressed both press and public.
