Edition 2025 — Wallgau Alpine Festival
In 2025, the traditional Wallgau cattle drive with alpine festival also took place in the Arena in der Witter. The Wallgau Pasture Community and the Wallgau Volunteer Fire Brigade hosted the festival with barbecue specialties, homemade cakes, and brass music, while the cattle, festively decorated, returned from the alpine pastures to the valley.
Cattle Drive 2025
As in previous years, the 2025 Wallgau cattle drive was dedicated to the traditional farmers' custom. The cattle returned adorned with bells and flowers from the summer pastures. The Wallgau Volunteer Fire Brigade provided catering with barbecue delicacies, Kartoffelschmarrn, and fire brigade 'Howa', while the Wallgau farmers' wives offered homemade cakes. A brass band provided the festive musical atmosphere – a vivid testament to how traditions are kept alive in the Karwendel Alpine World.
