Overview

The 2025 season once again brought over a million pilgrims to Kevelaer. Daily masses, association pilgrimages, and accompanying cultural programs marked six months of intensive pilgrimage activity. The pilgrimage office coordinated hundreds of group pilgrimages from German and Dutch dioceses.

In 2025, the season ran from May to November for six months. The pilgrimage office again registered several hundred pilgrim groups from Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. The season's motto in 2025 called for a deepened spiritual life and solidarity.

As always: daily masses in the Marienbasilika, confessions in the Chapel of Grace, evening torchlight processions, and organ concerts on the historic Seifert organ. Dutch and Belgian pilgrim groups, as usual, used Kevelaer as one of their most important European pilgrimage destinations.
