Overview

From July 24 to 27, 2025, the Wallensteintage Stralsund transported the old town back to the 17th century. The festival parade, plague procession, riding games, and baroque fireworks made Northern Germany's largest historical folk festival a summer highlight.

From July 24 to 27, 2025, the Hanseatic city of Stralsund celebrated the Wallensteintage. Northern Germany's largest historical folk festival once again commemorated the city's defense against Wallenstein's troops in 1628. The festival parade, plague procession, cuirassier riding games, landsknecht camp, and a baroque fireworks display at the town hall attracted numerous visitors to the World Heritage old town. With free admission, the festival confirmed its status as the highlight of the festival year in the Vorpommern-Rügen district.
