Edition 2025 — Waldsee Festival
The Waldsee Festival Freiburg 2025 took place on the Day of German Unity, October 3, and gathered the Freiburg indie and pop scene at the Waldsee grounds in Littenweiler. Several live acts, a vintage market, and a karaoke bar marked the festival day — an established "garden party" atmosphere in the last warm sunbeams of autumn.

The 2025 edition confirmed the Waldsee Festival brand as a fixture in Freiburg's festival calendar. Eight hours of open air at Waldsee, a curated indie/pop lineup, the characteristic vintage market, and the karaoke bar made the Day of German Unity an unmistakable celebration for Freiburg's music scene. The festival manages a medium size — not a mass event, but also not an intimate bar show — and this medium size allows for the "biggest garden party" character that the festival actively cultivates. Public transport connections, an awareness concept, and accessibility marked the organizational quality as in previous years.
