Edition 2025 — 30 Years Karneval — Exhibition
The exhibition "Vom Sehen und Gesehenwerden — 30 Jahre Karneval der Kulturen" will premiere in 2026 at Kunstquartier Bethanien. There was no independent predecessor exhibition in Studio 1 for the Karneval der Kulturen in 2025 — however, the Karneval itself took place in May 2025 with a parade and street festival around Blücherplatz in Kreuzberg, forming the basis for the 30th-anniversary format in 2026.
The exhibition "Vom Sehen und Gesehenwerden" in Studio 1 of Kunstquartier Bethanien is a special exhibition on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Karneval der Kulturen — there was no comparable predecessor format in 2025. The Karneval der Kulturen 2025 itself took place as usual at Pentecost with a Pentecost parade, street festival, and stage program in Kreuzberg, laying the thematic groundwork for the 2026 anniversary year.
