Overview

The Vierländer Erdbeerfest 2025 took place, as every year, at the end of June at the Rieck Haus. In this past edition, traditional costume groups, Low German speakers, and thatchers performed, the historic bakehouse was open, and regional strawberry farmers presented their varieties. A reliable must-attend event for Hamburg families with a taste for rural tradition.

The 2025 festival once again attracted thousands of visitors to the Bergedorf district. The mix of live crafts, children's activities, traditional dancing, and fresh strawberries proved to be a family highlight, just as in previous years. The free shuttle from Bergedorf station once again proved to be the only practical way to arrive.

The Rieck Haus once again demonstrated that it is not just a museum, but also a vibrant stage for the old Vierländer culture. Spending a day there provides a good impression of what Hamburg looks and tastes like beyond its urban centers.
