Overview
The grand Pfronten Viehscheid 2025 took place on Saturday, September 13, preceded by the parade on Friday evening. As every year, decorated wreath cows and young cattle from around ten alpine pastures returned to the valley, accompanied by a market and festival atmosphere.
The 2025 Viehscheid followed the established schedule: On Friday evening, the grand parade marched through Pfronten, and on Saturday, September 13, the herds from Achtal and Vilstal arrived at the festival grounds, where they were separated at the Scheidplatz. The market and the evening festival with Alpine music rounded off the traditional event. The festival once again confirmed Pfronten's reputation as the largest Almabtrieb in Ostallgäu.
