Overview

The Viehscheid Haslach 2025 took place, as always, on a Saturday in September, marking the traditional Almabtrieb of the Haslach alpine pasture. The heated festival tent at the fire station was well-attended throughout the day, with the Pfeifenclub Haslach organizing catering and a music program featuring Allgäu brass music and traditional alphorn players.

The 2025 edition followed the proven dramaturgy of the Allgäu Almabtrieb: welcoming the herd in the morning, separating the animals, followed by festival activities with catering and a music program. The Pfeifenclub Haslach has been organizing this festival for years, thus preserving the Allgäu alpine tradition in its small district on the Grüntensee.

Such Almabtriebe hold central significance for identity in the Allgäu – they connect the farming heritage with modern tourism and annually create a vibrant image of the Allgäu mountain landscape in the village center.
